Sarah Peth

Secretary

Sara retired in July 2020 after a long career as an information specialist and librarian. Starting as a public librarian, she spent most of her career working for several federal government agencies, and retired from the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare system where she managed medical library services and the facility’s learning management system. She also worked for Merit Network back in the early days of the Internet and expansion of the World Wide Web. She has masters’ degrees in Library Science and Public Health Policy.

Involved with music from an early age, Sara learned to read music by playing in a school handbell group. Sara also played instrumental music and has sung in various church choirs and Choral groups in Michigan. She sings currently with First Presbyterian Ann Arbor Choir and is a member of the University Musical Society's Choral Union in which she has participated for over 45 years! She and her husband are long-time residents of Ann Arbor and are glad to live here because of the variety of arts and music opportunities that the community provides.

Sara is happy to be on the AAYC board and looks forward to doing all she can to promote a life-long love of Choral singing in a new generation of singers.
